How to Create and Animate Circles in DaVinci Resolve

Creating and animating solid or empty circles in DaVinci Resolve is simple using the Solid Color Generator and Fusion. Follow these steps:

1. Create a Solid Circle

1. Add Solid Color from the Effects panel to the timeline.
2. Set the desired color in the Inspector.
3. Right-click, create a New Compound Clip, and open it in the Fusion Page.
4. Add an Ellipse mask to the MediaIn node to create a solid circle.

2. Create an Empty Circle (Outline)

1. In Fusion, uncheck Solid in the Ellipse Inspector.
2. Adjust the Border Width for the outline thickness.

3. Animate the Circle (Hand-Drawn Effect)

Hard Way (Fusion):
- Keyframe the Length in the Ellipse Inspector from 0 to 1.
- Adjust the Angle to change the starting position.
- Use the Spline Editor to smooth the animation.

Easy Way (Edit Page):
1. Add a Clock Wipe transition to the circle.
2. Adjust duration, ease settings, and angles.
3. If resizing is needed, create another Compound Clip for consistent transitions.

4. Modify the Circle

- To change speed or color, open the Compound Clip in the timeline and adjust settings.
